Finding the right fit for therapy can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack, especially if it's your first time. By reading this bio, you've already taken a big step towards your goals, and I am proud of you for taking the leap.
The stories we tell about ourselves and our experiences shape our worldview. Sometimes, these stories include assumptions and attitudes that get in the way of us living authentically. I am here to listen, reflect, and understand, so together, we can weave new stories that lead to a fulfilling life. Sometimes parts of us are not ready to change, and that's perfectly okay. Every flower blooms in its own time. Together, we will cultivate an understanding of every aspect of your experience to create room for compassion and joy. Using a blend of Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, ACT, and narrative therapy, I provide a space for you to connect with your story, your body, and your inherent capacity for growth.
As a deeply curious person, neurodiversity is central to my practice. I love adapting to the learning styles, interests, and needs of my clients. Being a bit of a trouble maker myself, I understand and appreciate clients who question authority, as those who do are often catalysts for change in stagnant systems. As a therapist, I believe that our relationship is the most important part. No one heals in isolation; the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives. I aim to support you in strengthening your personal relationships and your connection to the community.
Outside of sessions, I enjoy hiking with my senior corgi mix, writing poetry, and volunteering with a queer archival project.
Please reach out by phone or text to schedule a 15-minute introductory call, I'd love to answer any questions you may have. It would be a gift to get to know your story.
