Pronouns: She/her/hers
I am an LCSW with nearly ten years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. My passion lies in the focus of my practice: working with children using play therapy. I am completing my certification with the Association for Play Therapy, specializing in Child-Centered Play Therapy and Adlerian Play Therapy. My approach recognizes that play allows children to communicate in the most comfortable and natural manner. Through Play Therapy, I facilitate free expression and provide insight into a child’s worldview, decision-making, problem-solving, understanding, and interaction.
I offer a caring and non-judgmental space where individuals can be supported and empowered to learn about the brain-body connection, bolster their self-concept, enhance emotional understanding and communication, and adopt new coping methods.
While my primary focus is on children, I also enjoy working with adults, leveraging talk therapy and some psychodynamic perspectives. This approach allows for self-reflection and an in-depth understanding of why one might respond to situations or people in certain ways and whether these responses are still beneficial. In our sessions, we can identify and analyze life patterns, explore how they developed, and assess how they might be barriers to the growth you seek.
Therapy can be a pivotal space that enables you to make meaningful shifts in your life and recognize obstacles to your desired social or emotional growth. I believe the most crucial aspect of therapy is the connection and rapport between therapist and client. In our collaborative journey, I strive to meet my clients with empathy, respect, curiosity, and an open mind.
