I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and have been practicing since May 2020. Prior to returning to school to specialize in psychiatry, I have spent 16 years as a registered nurse working in a variety of settings including outpatient and inpatient settings, and in rural communities, including Mayo Health System. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have spent the past four years specializing in adult and geriatrics in the Seriously Mentally Ill (SMI) population in Maricopa County.
I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of mood disorders including bipolar disorder and depression and psychotic disorders including schizophrenia. Other areas of diagnosis and treatment include anxiety disorders; trauma and stressor related disorders; ADHD; obsessive-compulsive and related disorders; personality disorders; and substance-related and addictive disorders.
My goal is to provide comfort and support while focusing on early diagnosis and treatment. Early intervention in mental health is crucial as it can prevent symptoms from escalating into more severe or chronic conditions. I recognize the challenges and uncertainties that come with new mental health symptoms and am dedicated to offering care that enhances your overall health and quality of life. I will ensure that you receive clear and understandable information about your condition and treatment options, empowering you to make informed decisions about your care.
